Last year we introduced “The Great Cardboard Challenge” as a fun and festive cardboard cat house crafting competition for adults. Since it’s nearly the most wonderful time of the fear—whoops, I meant year—we’re thrilled to announce The Great Cardboard Challenge: Haunted Cat Houses, a Halloween-themed evening! Get a terrifying team together and celebrate the spooky season by creating a haunted house for the cats at HSHV.

In this creepy competition, teams will use the provided cardboard and craft supplies to create, construct, and decorate the best haunted cat house. After a prestigious peer-review process, the top teams will win a prize! This spook-tacular event will also include a tour through our cat area, an animal meet and greet, and light snacks.

Registration: $20 per person, includes all materials and refreshments. Due to space limitations, pre-registration is required. All craft supplies will be provided, please do not bring any outside craft materials.

Though we recommend participating as a team, registration is done individually. You will be asked the name of your team during registration.
